Friday until midnight: Wind: SW/NW 5/10 knots early, tending NW 10/15 knots during the morning. NE/NW winds freshening 15/20 knots in the evening. Sea: 1.0 metre. Morning fog areas, chiefly near the coast. Isolated showers. Possible late thunderstorm.
Saturday: Wind: N/NW 15/20 knots, before a 10/15 knot SW change in the evening. Sea: 1 metre at first, easing to 0.6 metre during the evening. Isolated showers.
Sunday: Wind: SW 10/15 knots.
Synoptic Situation
A high over the Tasman Sea is moving eastwards and extends a ridge along the east Queensland coast. A trough is expected to move through southern waters during Saturday evening with SW winds following.
