A strong wind warning is current for waters between St Lawrence and Point Danger, including Hervey Bay and Moreton Bay.

Moreton Bay Waters:
A strong wind warning is current.
Thursday until midnight: Wind: S/SE 15/25 knots, increasing to 25/30 knots during the day. Sea: 1.1 to 1.5 metres. Scattered squally showers.
Friday: Wind: S/SE 25/30 knots. Sea: 1.5 metres. Scattered squally showers.
Saturday: Wind: SE 20/30 knots.

Synoptic Situation
A large, slow moving high pressure system in the Great Australian Bight extends a strengthening ridge over much of the Queensland east coast, with strong SE winds developing over southern waters during today and persisting into early next week.
The next routine forecast will be issued at 3:06 pm EST Thursday.
